About

If you’re here, I can only assume you want to know more about me. So here goes… Hi, my name is Josh, and it has been -mumblemumble- since my last board game.

I was born in Ontario, Canada in 1991. My family moved to northern BC a couple years later, where we lived in a logging town (appropriate) for almost a decade. On the 20th of March, 2002, we moved 12,200kms to New Zealand, where I have been ever since.

I’ve always enjoyed board games, but my passion for the modern form of the hobby really started back in around 2013, when a flatmate brought home a copy of Dominion. I was immediately hooked, and eventually started collecting them in 2015. If you want to see said collection, you can find it here. Although I know it certainly pales in comparison to many!

I have a lovely wife Milda, whom I absolutely adore. Thankfully, she puts up with my hobby and even shares in it. Most of my gaming is with her, although we also host or attend game nights every now and then. We are expecting our first child towards the end of September, and we’re looking forward to finding out what comes next.

If you’re at all interested, my professional background was originally software development starting in 2013, and I’ve been a business analyst / product manager since 2015. I also have a few projects on the side, as does pretty much everyone in tech!
